Lysine is an essential amino acid therefore it must be obtained from the diet as the body cannot produce its own. Acai Berry – What is So Super About This Fruit?

This is the latest super-food that has become a rage among health food enthusiasts and rightly so. You can find it in South and Central America, growing in clusters on palm trees. It is small and round almost like a grape, but smaller.

It has high amounts of anthocyanin or anthocyanidin. These are phytonutrients that belong to the flavonoid family of antioxidants.
